I learned to batik in my Fabric Design class at Auburn High School, and have pursued it on my own since then. My images are created by applying many layers of wax and dye to white cotton fabric. When dyeing is complete, the wax is removed revealing a translucent fabric. The stained glass effect of batik inspires me to illuminate them and create a glowing world of my own.
